Before the budget update, certain tabs must be defined.
Click on the project tab to view the information entered previously on the project master form and update your WBS. The add/update WBS can have a higher level where you wish to roll up your budget to, or any zones/areas/sections or disciplines that you want your budget and actuals to show against.

Click on add/update WBS to update your WBS levels. WBS can also be imported directly from (.xer) files. Add a section first, and then the activity. WBS can be built with 2 levels in a hierarchy.

βRecommendation: If WBS will not be used in the budget, you can add a higher level for reporting by adding one section with cost categories (Direct, Indirect and OH) or simply create one section and one activity called (General).
